Alex sees her role as a collaborator with you to help facilitate an even greater understanding and awareness of yourself. 

Alex received her BS in Psychology and MSW in Clinical Social Work from Fordham University. She has received training in family therapy from Ackerman Institute for the Family and have experience working with children and adolescents. Alex specializes in working with individuals who experience anxiety, conflicts within their relationships, depression, or simply want to change a pattern of behavior.

Alex has a holistic and integrative approach to psychotherapy, which means that she incorporates a variety of approaches to best meet your needs. This includes working primarily from a psychodynamic, client-centered, and relational perspective and integrating cognitive-behavioral and mindfulness practices as needed. Alex’s therapy style is warm, supportive, interactive, and empowering. Empathy is an essential component of our sessions, and she helps clients learn to treat themselves with compassion.
