Manpreet Singh, MS, Marriage and Family Therapy
Clinical Associate & Fellow

How we relate to each other, the world, and ourselves is at the core of Manpreet's integrative and systemic approach to therapy. Manpreet relies on humility in his practice, allowing him to create space for the unique challenges clients or families bring to each session. Manpreet aspires to gain mastery in integrative frameworks with a focus and sensitivity to racial and multigenerational trauma, along with medical family therapy and providing support for special needs families.

Manpreet received his Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from IONA University, where he graduated with honors. Manpreet is also an alum fellow of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy Minority Fellowship Program. Manpreet has completed level 2 training in the Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy (PACT), highlighting the importance of bringing a couple toward secure functioning.

Manpreet trained at the IONA University Family Clinic, where he practiced the latest systemic models and techniques under live faculty supervision. He has gained breadth in his experience working in an agency setting with at-risk youth and families, treating psychopathology stemming from domestic violence, abuse, addiction, substance use, and trauma.

When not spending time with his family, studying, or working, he enjoys songwriting, playing music, painting, and dancing Bhangra with his wife and children. As a Sikh American, Manpreet is guided by the ideas of "Sewa" (selfless service), "Sangat" (community), and "Kirat Karo" (hard work to benefit one's self and society). As a minority father to a medically fragile child, Manpreet has witnessed first-hand the necessity for Marriage and Family Therapy, when warranted, to secure the family system and afford it the ability to thrive. Lastly, Manpreet works with clients to offer a systemic lens when combatting cultural stigma, which may prevent many families from accessing the necessary care.
